Volunteering Opportunities

With members from all types of walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences, the WHIN Food Council aims to be a welcoming space for Washington Heights and Inwood residents to take charge of their health and encourage healthy eating in their neighborhood.

Volunteer opportunities in 2017 include:

·      Maintaining the Riley-Levin Children’s Garden vegetable plot

·      Working on advocacy for the food vendor mobilization act

·      Contributing to community potlucks

·      Serving on the Founders Committee (oversight board)

·      Fundraising and grantwriting
