The Washington Heights/Inwood (WHIN) Food Council aims to create a space for residents to identify and determine solutions to the food justice issues they see in our community. Our primary goal is to empower community members to make positive changes in WHIN around food and the environment.
As the WHIN Food Council expands its work, we require further support to carry out our community-driven mission. We are seeking creative and passionate volunteers and interns to help us scale our work and increase our impact. Volunteers are expected to volunteer for 1-5 hours per week based on their availability. 95% of the work is remote and 5% is in person. We offer both long-term opportunities of 1-year commitment and short-term opportunities to volunteer.
